This patient had lost his first molar and the molar behind it collapsed into the residual space.  This was not a situation that was conducive to placing a fixed bridge because of the misalignment.  By performing a simple, minor orthodontic procedure, the tooth was uprighted into its original position and replaced with a beautiful fixed bridge.  Now this patient is able to chew his food properly, and lessen his chances of TMJ (jaw joint) problems.
